A Wave of Celebration: 2024 Byron Bay Surf Festival

The 2024 Byron Bay Surf Festival was a spectacular celebration of surf culture, bringing together the best of the local and international surfing community right here in our backyard. This year’s festival delivered world-class performances across all divisions, showcasing the incredible talent and passion that define our surf scene.

Beyond the thrilling surf action, the festival was filled with memorable events that captured the unique spirit of Byron Bay. The Varuna Surf Party kicked off the festivities with an energy that set the tone for the weekend, while the Tracks Party continued the vibe, uniting surf enthusiasts and the local community in a joyful celebration. The McTavish Art Show added a creative touch, turning the festival into a feast for both the eyes and the soul.

None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of so many. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the sponsors, the event crew, the volunteers, Byron Shire Council, NSW National Parks, the talented surfers and everyone who attended or supported the festival from afar. Your contributions made this year’s festival one to remember.
