Byron Community Centre Offers Free African Dance Classes for Seniors
By Amanda Kuhn
Led by Angela McWhinney, these classes are a joyful exploration of African rhythms and movement designed for all fitness levels. Each session includes a gentle warm-up, rhythmic sequences, body percussion, free expression, choreography and a relaxing cool-down.
Angela says:
“These classes are all about connection, rhythm, and joy. It’s wonderful to see our seniors embracing the freedom of movement, regardless of fitness level. African dance offers a powerful way to boost well-being and community spirit, and I’m thrilled to share this experience with Byron’s senior community.”
