Dance Against Domestic Family and Sexual Violence

The 25th November is the first day of the 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST DOMESTIC FAMILY AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE.

Each year during the 16 Days of Activism against Domestic Family and Sexual Violence, community rallies around people experiencing Domestic Family and Sexual Violence. They take a personal pledge to say not to violence and support those experiencing and at risk of violence.

This year Women Up North is inviting the community to join us to Dance against Domestic Family and Sexual Violence to launch the 16 Days of Activism we invite you to come to our wonderful event with Nini Nari Gali Dancers (Bundjalung dance troupe), Maroon Jazz band and the Soul queen Lisa Hunt and band. Come join us or make a donation to help families at risk during the upcoming holiday season and say not to Domestic Family and Sexual Violence. Due to the impact of the flood and COVID-19, demand is outstripping the funding, and we back up our support to clients with fundraising. All funds will go to assisting women children and young people experiencing or at risk of Domestic Family and Sexual Violence.

Women Up North (WUN) is a Northern NSW service for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic or family violence or abuse. We were established in 1987 and we provide support services and assist women and children with finding housing to Lismore and surrounding communities and run community workshops and education on Healthy Relationships and saying NO to Domestic, Family and Sexual violence.
