Immersive Dance Experience

Liquidelic at Byron Theatre

As the year continues to charge ahead, we move forward with eager delight into events, festivals and gatherings of all kinds. Here in Byron Bay, the season may be changing to autumn, however it feels somewhat like springtime for the arts. Finally so many performing artists can begin to blossom from their hibernation, after remaining dormant for so long.

It is amidst this setting that we share the next upcoming Liquidelic event: Liquidelic at Byron Theatre on Friday 29th April 6pm.

This production will expand upon our previous shows, and contains two parts.
Part One will be a 70-minute hybrid liquid-light-show that you may have seen before - however with a considerable upgrade in venue, stage, sound-system, seating and visuals. There will also be some new pieces introduced into the show, as we endlessly refine and evolve our work.

Part Two is a first-ever 'Immersive Dance Experience', in collaboration with a talented team of other artists.
We wanted to find a way to break down the barriers between audience and performer. To invite you all into the world of Liquidelic and become a part of our artistic creation. The first step is to transform the venue into a dance-floor. Then with the help of Club Sandwich Visuals, we will be covering the dance-floor and walls with Yao's unique live liquid visuals, immersing the attendees in vibrant moving colour. Guest DJs Monsieur Diop and DJ Xenia will provide the soundtrack, which will be pumped out through the powerful 4'20 Sound System.

This is more than a dance party, it is an interactive installation. It is an immersion into colour, movement and creativity. As Liquidelic, we are passionate about art, colour, music and dance. We have felt the life-enhancing power of these elements melting together and wish to share it with our beloved community.

We hope to see you there and share this experience together.

With love and inspiration,
Yao, Karen and Tim
