Cold Brew Coffee Shows it's Cool to be KIND

Northern Rivers-based company, The KIND Coffee Co., launches ready-to-drink cold brew coffee in a can, featuring an organic and vegan option. The brand-new range will debut 250ml recyclable cans in three delicious flavours: Mocha Latte, Creamy Milk Latte, and a Double Espresso this month. Kick start your day with this new, convenient and shelf-stable coffee or add it to a cheeky espresso martini.

Boutique coffee maker founders, Trevor Lynn, and Jules Gardner established The KIND Coffee Co. with a desire to provide a reliable and sustainable product for serious coffee lovers. Ditching their corporate lifestyles, they took the plunge and relocated to the idyllic Northern Rivers to foster their dream.

Their purpose-built coffee brewing facility, based in Murwillumbah, is dedicated and designed to provide large scale and unrivalled quality to the production of their cold brew coffee, from start to finish – all from one location.

After months of trialling and testing, The KIND Crew has developed an organic and vegan black coffee plus two milk-based options. “All three new products have their own unique flavour and are suited to a wide range of coffee lovers’ taste buds. They are smooth on the palate and enhance the natural and premium coffee taste,” says The KIND's Jules Gardner.

Part of their philosophy is not only to make KIND but show acts of KINDness too, which includes being KIND to the community in which they live. "Our hometown and region have done it tough, and we are proud to be a part of such a resilient and supportive community. We are passionate about giving back where we can."

Jules Gardner states, “We have chosen to support a local charity, the Northern Rivers Community Foundation, by donating 10% of all profits made from now until the end of November to celebrate the launch of our new ready-to-drink cold brews.”

“It's a win-win; you get to try our cheeky kick-ass cold brews and help our locals get back on their feet. Be assured our support of this great not-for-profit will not stop after our launch.”

Part of The KIND's philosophy is reducing waste, and they are fortunate to have partnered with the Shroom Brothers, another locally based company, where they send their spent coffee grinds. The Shroom Brothers recycle them as part of their process in growing their mushrooms and in turn create a sustainable cycle between the two businesses, taking a waste product and putting it to good use. “Like us, the mushrooms love a nice caffeine kick to get things moving,” Jules Gardner adds.

“We endeavour to make a significant impact in the community and the planet, not only in the well-being of those coffee lovers, but by producing 100% recyclable products, with zero waste in our processing methods and sustainable recycling partnerships.”

For a limited time, the brand-new range will be available to try for free with every purchase of a produce box from local organic farmer The Farmers’ Store, you will receive two select cold brew cans from the new range.

“Be KIND, by purchasing local produce and supporting the local community in which you live.” Jules Gardner concludes.
